“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” –Steve Jobs
This quotation sums up the way that I feel about teaching math. I have enjoyed helping students with this subject for the past 25 years. My teaching career started in 1990 with eighth-grade math and has included Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. I have worked at different types of schools through the years, including a private Christian school, a charter school, and several public schools. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a B.S. in mathematics education.
I feel very blessed to work in a field that I enjoy so much and hope that every student I teach finds that same satisfaction in their career choice.
